Barbara J. Chisholm is a graduate of Swarthmore College and Howard
University School of Law, where she was the Submissions and Symposium
Editor of the Howard Law Journal. She served as a law clerk to Judge
Emmet G. Sullivan of the United States District Court for the District
of Columbia. She worked in the Russian Far East for five years, where she
was the founder and director of the Russian Far East branch of ISAR, an
organization working on environmental and human rights issues. She currently
serves as an advisor to the organization. She also serves as a member of the
Executive Committee of the Labor and Employment Section of the California State Bar.
She also currently serves as the Program Co-Chair for the Bay Area Lawyer Chapter of
the American Constitution Society, and as a member of the Boards of Directors of
Pacific Environment and the AIDS Legal Referral Panel. |
